22 and so very sweet
I first saw them outside the restaurant at the picnic table having a sandwich they had made themselves with bread I saw that they had somehow fastened on the back of her bike. A while later she came in and asked if she could fill her water bottle, hmm, I thought, not gonna buy anything! I have unwittingly taken up the attitude "you can't not buy something" from Brett, I don't like it........ but that's what happens when you work so close with your husband day after day, you pick up some of the things you thought you would never do or think without even noticing and before you know it, you are doing that annoying thing you used to scold him for.Well, guess what?????????? Before I knew it she was back at the counter with her purchase, I was so proud of her!.........knowing the right thing to do! She bought probably 3 dollars worth of stuff, she was so charming I just couldn't let her go without chatting with her about her journey. I looked outside again just as they were about to petal off, I ran out and asked if they minded if I took their picture. "Sure" he said. "The sun should be shining on our faces" she said. I asked them their names and he said, " Gregg". "I'm "Michal" she said............. naturally I said "Michael?", "yes! With an a", she said, and then spelled it out for me. Of course I was so taken by her I don't know if I got the spelling right!

If walls could talk
It all started with me wanting to get the bathroom ready to paint on Saturday, my day off. I went down the basement to get my supplies so I could fix 4 small screw holes. Honstly I was so prepared you wouldn't believe it! Putty knife in hand I slowly started scraping and before I knew it I had gotten under the paint and "yikes" a whole sheet of paint the size of Wisconsin came off the wall with out any hesitation! I could'nt believe my eyes. It seemed so easy, I'll just peel off all the paint and have a clean slate to work with, The paint was coming off so easy! Like magic! And, I was wondering, what was keeping this paint on the wall in the first place? Well, I soon found out. Some of the paint did stick to the wall and it wasn't coming off nearly as easy. Now I was starting to get nervous, Brett is gonna think I'm such a dummy for trying to fix something that wasn't broken, how am I gonna get this all off before he gets home so he can see what a good job I can do all by myself? Hmm, I'm gonna have to call him and warn him....wait maybe a little more before I call.... "Brett, I broke the bathroom" I said. "Oh no, the toilet or the sink?" He said, in his >it's no big deal< voice."The walls" I said. He came home and assessed the situation and decided... (surprise surprise) "just keep peeling it all off and we will deal with it later"! So............thats what I did all the next day, peeled and scrapped peeled and scrapped until it felt like my arms were gonna fall off. Then, I said "I quit, I can't do it any more". I asked the painter guy to come look and see what he thought and he came back and said "Why didn't you stop"!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well...........I don't know why, and now I have a real mess on my hands. So,if walls could talk mine would say "ouch". Funny story, Huh? Not so much :(
